Betty Lumu is founder of the Betty Lumu Foundation and Director of Safari African Centre for Knowledge. Prior to that, Betty Lumu was Head of Knowledge Management at the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) in Cairo, Egypt from September 2010 until December 2019.
With more than 20 years of corporate work experience, Betty has tremendous experience working with international reputable organizations including Oxford University Press (OUP) and Malaria Consortium. She holds a master’s degree in Information Science (M.Sc. Inf. Sc.), is a Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) from the KM Institute (USA), and also has training in Corporate Communications. Betty was the Curator of the TEDxKiwenda that took place on 2 May 2021 in Kiwenda, near Kampala, Uganda.
Mr. Jasper Aligawesa is a Director at the Betty Lumu Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, Mr. Aligawesa was General Secretary of the Uganda National Council for Sports in Uganda. He brings a wealth of knowledge and skills in management and administration from both the civil service and corporate world.
